RevPASH

📘 What is RevPASH?

RevPASH measures the revenue generated per available seat per hour. It’s particularly useful in food and beverage (F&B) operations, helping assess the performance of dining areas in terms of occupancy and turnover.

✅ Why is it important?

  • Monitors operational efficiency hour by hour.
  • Useful for scheduling, staffing and pricing decisions.
  • Allows comparison between different service shifts.
  • Encourages faster table turnover when necessary.

🧮 Formula

RevPASH = Total revenue / (Available seats × Opening hours)

💡 Practical example

A hotel restaurant has 40 seats and operates dinner service for 3 hours. It earns €1,200 in total revenue.
RevPASH = 1,200 / (40 × 3) = €10 per seat/hour

🔄 Clarification

📍RevPASH vs RevPAR:
RevPAR is for room revenue; RevPASH is for seat-based venues in F&B.

📍RevPASH vs Occupancy rate:
Occupancy shows usage; RevPASH shows actual revenue productivity per seat and time unit.

👉 Revenue per Available Seat Hour – useful for hotel restaurants, cafés and high-rotation spaces.
